Cagney ARPH #12586. Have you ever seen a more BEAUTIFUL coloured dog? Cagney is a gorgeous 3-4 year old female Australian Shepherd that is currently available for adoption.
Cagney is looking for that someone special to spend the rest of her life with. She is a wonderful girl that when comfortable in her environment or with her people, functions
like any other fun loving dog. She plays with foster siblings, runs zoomies in the yard, steals toys from the toy box, and comes for treats. Her favourite things in the world
are car rides and long walks in the forest. She loves to be in the car and behaves very well from a short trip to a long journey in the car, travelling with her foster home and
foster siblings to agility trials and all over the city.
Her issues? She is very afraid of many things, she really tries to be brave but new situations or new environments are very tough for her and she has to work hard to get through them.
Cagney has A LOT of heart and strength so even though she is afraid she doesn't give up, with some gentle coaxing, time and patience and of course her favourite treats (hotdogs, tuna snacks and cheese)
she has overcome almost all new challenges she has faced.
She would be best suited to a home that has the patience to help her work through her issues, that can love her for being the sweet and gentle soul that she is, that can love little aussie
cuddles and nudges to get your attention. Cagney is great with other dogs and may be best in a home with another dog that she can mimic and take confidence from. She currently is being fostered with a
cat that she has shown no interest in. A house that does not have small children would be best as sudden and unpredictable movements worry her. Cagney is fully vetted, spayed and ready for adoption.
Cagney lives in the Ottawa area.

Rusty ARPH #12809

Rusty ARPH #12809 is a 1 year old Red Tri Colour Aussie that came into rescue as a stray. His foster home noticed that Rusty was limping a lot and their
family vet donated the xrays, so that we could discover what was wrong with Rusty's leg. Rusty seems to have a damaged right hip and his femur does not fit into the hip joint properly. Rusty needs an expensive operation to help him
walk without pain. After his surgery Rusty will need extensive thearpy to help him use his leg again, as he has lost a lot of muscle in the leg.
Rusty has an amazing personality, he is a happy boy who loves his people and and his canine friends. Even though Rusty was in pain he loved to play with his foster brother. Rusty would make anyone a good friend, and when he is pain
free, he will read to go to his new home.
UPDATE: Rusty has had his surgery and is recovering very well! He's getting around fine and is eager to run and play with his foster siblings! He still requires some more recovery time to make sure he is fully healed.
